Youth Theatre Helsinki’s Summer Camps

Our theatre camps are a place for self-expression, confidence, connection and creativity. Whether your child is new to theatre or already passionate about the stage, we meet them where they are and help them grow. Every week ends with a fun performance for friends and family.

Times
Monday to Thursday from 10:00 - 15:00.
Friday ends at 15:30 as we prepare for the performance!

 

Performance

The Friday ends at 15.30, the participants have a 60 min. break, and at 16.30 we gather and warm up, for the show at 17.00

You can register for 1, 2, or all 3 weeks!

Each week is a new adventure! We will adapt to the children's experience level to help them learn and grow. 

Who is it for?

  • Young people ages 10 – 17

  • No previous experience needed

  • Those with curiosity or passion for theatre

  • The workshops are primarily taugtht in English, but will be supported Finnish and Swedish too 

  • We value diversity, inclusion and self-expression

Let your child experience and learn

Introduction to Theatre
For those new and curious about theatre: We'll explore acting, movement, voice, games and storytelling.

Theatre Lab – Dive Deeper
For children who want more: We’ll focus on physical theatre, character work, improvisation and creative collaboration.

Creating a Show – From Idea to Stage
Using the tools gained during the week we will devise and shape a short piece together and perform it on Friday.

Daily Schedule 

  • 09:30 – Arrival begins

  • 10:00 – Warm up Everyone together

  • 10:15 – Group Theatre sessions (movement, voice, games, acting)

  • 12:00 – Lunch break (bring your own lunch)

  • 13:00 – Rehearsals, games, creative work

  • 14:30 – Wrap-up

  • 15:00 – Pick-up

    We will have regular water breaks and 2 snack breaks during the day. We will provide snacks of fruits and vegetables.

Price & Sign Up

  • 1 Week: €200 (incl. 25,5% VAT)

  • ​2 Weeks: €375 (incl. 25,5% VAT)

  • All 3 Weeks: €550 (incl. 25,5% VAT)

Spots are limited! Early sign-up is recommended.

  • ​The registration is binding and by registering your child to the camp, you are required to pay the camp in full.

  • Price: 1 week €200 (incl. 25.5% VAT)

  • Location: LUCKAN Yrjönkatu 27 Helsinki

  • Registration: via link above

  • Limited spots available. Secure your place by registering through the link. Places are filled in the order of registration.

  • If a student is absent from a day, Youth Theatre Helsinki will not compensate for the missed day(s).

  • We reserve the right to make changes.

  • Course is held in English and we can accommodate Finnish and Swedish speaking participants as well.
